Grandchildren

As long as children are happy life as a parent or grandparent is good.

My wife Ann spends hours trawling the internet looking for different activities that will engage and entertain our grandchildren, I think she does a wonderful job, it doesn’t always have to cost a fortune or to be over elaborate. Recently she had an outing with my daughter Jane and our grandson Luke, they had a day out by the sea and all had a lovely time, a pick-nick on the beach and Luke playing as good as gold in the sand and sea, simple stuff but golden times. Yesterday was a family day spent in our garden, our son Peter visited us bringing the two boys with him, Dan our oldest grandson, who when asked how old he is reminds us that he is nearly 5 years old, and Max  who is our youngest grandson who is only 4 months old. Our daughter Jane and son-in-law Chris arrived with Luke who is 18 months old ,we were immediately immersed into a childs world and our day was taken up with playing silly little games, being silly and listening to the purest sound of all, children’s laughter, simple stuff but golden times.
